opportunities you can start making money with in a hurry. In most
cases you don't even need a website. It's true - people have
actually made money the day they started with some of these online
businesses. The main focus here is a process called affiliate
marketing. With affiliate marketing, you arrange to sell someone
else's product for a commission. There are many ways for this to
happen. The most popular method is to refer a web surfer to the
vendors site using either an ad or website.
Here is an example of how this works. Let's say the Widget Company
wants to sell lots of widgets on the internet so they decide to start an
affiliate program. You sign up for their affiliate program and
they give you a unique affiliate ID. Signing up for an affiliate
program usually only takes a few minutes. Now all you have to do
is direct web surfers to their web store using a special link with your
affiliate ID. When someone you refer to the site buys a Widget,
you get paid. It really is that simple. It is not uncommon
at all for affiliate programs to pay ten dollars or more for each sale.
Some are less, and some are a LOT more. It just depends on the
product.
How do I get traffic to my affiliate partners website? You could
refer people using your existing website, or you could run an
advertisement on the web. When you do a web search using a search
engine you might have noticed a lot of paid advertisements displayed on
the same page as your search results. Those are people who are
trying to get you to go to their (or their affiliate partners) website.
These ads can cost as little as one penny! Now you might guess
that not every ad that gets displayed will be clicked on, and not every
person who is directed to your partners website will make a sale.
However - it does happen, and it happens a lot. Your penny ads end
up bringing in lots of affiliate cash!
Well, that's the two minute version of affiliate marketing. There
is an incredible amount of information available on this topic, and if
you want to be successful you need to learn as much of it as you can.
